Love the cool touch on live tree. Never felt need to turn them off or have a fire. Each string needs to go to the wall though requiring 9 power inputs be present for my 10 foot tree. 8 light strings and 1 topper. You'll need a new topper if yours is old amber light style. White light (bordering on blue) plus yellow doesnt look too good. If you want a blacklight...

If you want to purchase a blacklight this is your simplest solution. I bought two of these and they are light enough to mount onto a wall with a lot of easily-removable two sided foam mounting tape. This is especially useful for college dorms where you can't exactly pound nails in the wall to mount your lighting and decoration.



The cords are shorter than you'd think not too much so but you'll have to mount these on the wall pretty much directly above an electrical outlet. If you're ceiling isn't too high you shouldn't have a problem though.



They're very powerful blacklights which is why I recommend them. With just one on at nighttime every single speck of white glows with that fluorescence that tells you it's the real thing. Especially good if you have a Lava Lamp and some good posters making them essential for any decor (especially if you're going for that retro relaxed look).More detail ...

If you love playing with candles and flickering battery powered tealights you will love these. These color changing tealights don't flicker like flames. Instead they slowly fade from color to color every 3-4 seconds. Good enough for most uses

I bought these to create some interesting lighting effects in my home office and bedroom. I found them easy to install using the provided clips. (I used my own screws as those provided are extremely cheap and don't seat properly on any drill bit--they appear somewhere near a Phillips 1 point but don't seat correctly and are virtually unusable). All of my lights worked just fine right out of the box.



Installations tips:



1) Get yourself some quality size #10 .5 inch screws from your hardware store.

2) Plug in the light before installing it. It will heat the plastic and make it much more flexible and easy to work with as you go along.

3) You can also use cable ties to mount the lights if you get the clear plastic variety. These work as good or better than the clips for some applications.



These are very inexpensive rope lights and look great. Reading reviews it seems their quality may be hit-or-miss but if you get a good set they're a really good value.More detail ...

I am using the product. I bought 6 sets but if you wait til Christmas Target will sell them for just as cheap because the shipping is quite high. One of the sets were manufactured with bad receptors. Bad customer service. They did credit me for one light but would have preferred a whole replacement. Good thing it wasn't for a real wedding. The company didn't even have the courtesy to reply back to me with answers. The ad does not imply that removing one bulb will make all sequential bulbs leading to the outlet turn off so if you lose one bulb at the opposite end of the outlet the whole string is dead.More detail ...
